No need for a full reconditioning or wheel refurbishment for minor curb scrapes & scratches we match your existing wheel color so a complete wheel refinishing is not needed avoiding a lengthy repair and maintaining the original wheel finish
*Allow 2 hours per wheel for our wheel repair process
1) The wheel is first given a pre-repair cleaning
2) Next wheel curb scrapes & scratches are smoothed out using specialized wheel repair tools and sanding methods, some damage may also require using a wheel repair filler
3) A Quality check is done to insure all damage has been smoothed, looks correct & uniform, the tire and any surrounding areas are masked off with specialty tape and masking paper to protect them and then the wheel is given a pre-paint cleaning to remove any contaminates before the finish is applied
4) Another quality check is done, the wheel color is now matched and applied for painted or powder coated wheels, re-polished for polished wheels, or in some cases if your wheel is two colors it may have a machined finish, the manufacturer achieves this on a cnc machine which spins the wheel as a cutter moves across the entire wheel face, Wheel Medix can "replicate" this look to repair minor curb scrapes eliminating the need of having the entire wheel redone, all repairs have a clearcoat/protectant applied to keep them looking good
5) Once the finish is applied we do several quality checks again to make sure the repair is invisible
6) The tape and masking paper are removed and we again do a final quality check, Wheel Medix takes great pride in Quality and treats all vehicles as if they were our own or might be someday
7) Your wheel is ready and looks good again, your vehicle can be driven within 30 minutes
